  • Donald W. Dobbs, 49, of Pencil Bluff, Arkansas passed away Saturday June 8, 2019. Donald was born on November 15, 1969 in Houston, TX to Delcia Jean Dobbs and the late Grady Dobbs. Donald is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G.C. White and Mr. and Mrs. John Dobbs, and father Grady Dobbs Sr.
    Donald is survived by his wife Tracy Ann Dobbs, mother Delcia Jean Dobbs, his 6 children, Kristen Dobbs of Pencil Bluff AR, Elizabeth O’Bryant of Pencil Bluff AR, Gabe O’Bryant of Walker LA, Wesley O’Bryant of Walker LA, Alyisa Waxley of MS, and Dustin Waxley of MS, grandchild, Carson Waxley of MS, 2 brothers, James Dobbs of Texarkana TX and Grady Dobbs Jr. of Genoa AR, sister, Debra Dobbs Talley of Ashdown AR, nephew, Cody Dobbs, 5 neices, Megan Talley, Amanda Talley Phelps, Lily Dobbs, Hailey O’Bryant, and Kaitlyn O’Bryant, sister-in-law, Angela O’Bryant and a host of other friends and family.
    Service will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Brushy Baptist Church in Oden, AR. Viewing will be held from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Brushy Baptist Church in Oden, AR officiated by Bro. Jim Ivy and Bro. Tommy Beshears. Burial will be held at Brushy Cemetery in Oden, AR following service at the Church. Pallbearers are Tyler Fair, Patrick Fair, Christopher Fair, Freddy Fair, Wesley O’Bryant, Jared Abbott and Paden Phelps. Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida, AR. Guest register at www.thorntonfh.com

    Only knew Don for a short while during his stay at deer camp. Enjoyed friendly face and the friendly conversations with him.

    Hard to put into words just how much Magoo meant to me. Not only was he my friend, he was the best brother in law I could ask for. We shared so many fun times with each other. Magoo, my brother, my friend you will be missed.

    Tracy I know that there are no words that can be said that will help or make sense nor make things easier. My Dear Sweet Friend as you know I have been living it for 5 years now. You and your family are and will always be in my prayers. Donny loved Don as his very own Brother and Don took on that role by checking on me so very often. He was in a way my saving grace after the loss of Donny. He is and always will be a part of mine and Donny’s family. Don is just like I was told Donny was!!! A TRUE SALT OF THE EARTH MAN!!!!! I will always remember and miss the amazing true friend and man he was to me and Donny. I Love You Tracy Dobbs And I Am ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU!!!!! RIP DONALD W DOBBS and Now You FLY HIGH MIGHTY ANGEL!!!!!
